Children's Department Supplement
- Adults unaccompanied by children may not use the Children's Department as a general reading or study area. This rule may be waived by the Department Head under special circumstances.
- A parent or other adult accompanying a child or children in the Library is expected to prevent the child from running loose, making excessive noise, pulling books from shelves or otherwise behaving disruptively. If the parent or accompanying adult cannot control the behavior of the child, both will be asked to leave the Library.
- The Children's Department is not meant to be a substitute baby-sitter. Children unaccompanied by parent(s) or other adult(s) are welcome to remain in the department as long as desired provided the child is busy reading, writing, doing school/library work. Children who become boisterous, undisciplined or uncontrollable, may be asked to leave and/or parent/guardian notified to pick up the child as soon as possible.
