Library raising funds for new Elk Valley facility

As contractors create the interior of the new Elk Valley Branch Library, located in The Crossings mall in Elkview, library staff and volunteers are raising money in the Elk River community to furnish and equip the new branch.

The Elk Valley Library Advisory Board established a fund-raising goal of $200,000 for furniture and equipment. The board has received two matching grants - totaling $45,000 - and has raised $11,500 toward the goal thus far. Donors who contribute $500 or more will be listed on a donor wall which will be installed in the new facility.

Send your tax-deductible donation for this new community center today to KCPL, 123 Capitol Street, Charleston, WV 25301. Enjoy a tax deduction while helping your community enjoy the love of reading.

The new facility will offer a drive-up book drop, extended hours, study rooms, a multi-purpose room that is available for public meetings, more computers for public use and ample parking. With the additional space, Elk Valley library staff can expand the library's collection and programming options.
