Join us for our adult Dia de los Muertos/Day of the Dead celebration! Dia de los Muertos/Day of the Dead is a traditional Mexican holiday also celebrated in parts of the US. Learn more about the history and traditions of the holiday with informative displays, food, and activities. Create cempasuchil (paper marigolds) and make your own Mexican hot chocolate mix to drink at the event or to take with you. As part of the holiday, many who celebrate create an ofrenda ("offering" in Spanish), with photos of their loved ones who have passed on. To honor the tradition, we encourage you to bring photos of your loved ones to add to our KCPL ofrenda while you're at the event. Stop by any time between 1:00pm and 4:00pm to experience Dia de los Muertos! FYI: We are also having teen and family celebrations! Check out our "Events & Classes" page for more details.
