Feed Your Head Lunchtime Program: Baseball: Read all about It!

June 8, 12:10 PM

Main Library

Type: Lectures
Age: Adult and Teen
Topic: Sports

Nobody knows more about baseball and the sports books in the Kanawha County libraries than retired Reference Librarian and avid sports fan, David Schau. Kanawha County Public Library has a strong collection of baseball books from the last twenty-five years, including books about teams, specific seasons, biographies of players, coaches, managers and books simply about “America’s Pastime” from the perspective of the dugout, the press box, and even the bleachers. You can also find titles about our regional teams that broadcast their games locally, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. David will talk about baseball books in general and give an overview of the baseball collection at KCPL. He will also discuss those titles deemed to be "classics," some of the newer titles in our collection and some of his favorite titles. Patrons may bring their lunch.
