The library is collecting donated items for Elk River Backpack Blessings. Their mission is to provide food and other small items to students whose main source of food is their school. They provide a bag of nutritious, kid-friendly food once a week. They also send snack bags to the Kanawha County Libraries every week, all year round, to assist children in need. This month they are asking for scarves, hats, mittens, socks, underwear, toothbrushes and small toiletries. For more information please call the library at 304-965-3636.
