Retired miner and educator Fred Powers gives a voice to the stories of countless Appalachian coal miners. This moving one-man drama about working and living in a tight-knit mining community will have audiences on the edge of their seats as Powers escapes from certain death, encounters animals deep underground and mourns loved ones lost in the dangerous mines. Mountain Magic is a celebration of the rich literary and storytelling heritage of West Virginia. Come sit with us for a spell as we share the songs and folklore of Appalachia, from true stories of life in the mountains to chilling tales of haunted hollows. Tweens: 10-12 Years, Teens and Adults.
