Give Back Tree The library is collecting donated items for Elk River Backpack Blessings. Their mission is to provide food and other small items to students whose main source of food is their school. They provide a bag of nutritious, kid-friendly food once a week. They also send snack bags to the Kanawha County Libraries every week, all year round, to assist children in need. This month they are asking for scarves, hats, mittens, socks, underwear, toothbrushes and small toiletries. For more information please call the library at 304-965-3636.

Noon Year’s Eve Do you have children who would love to stay up late and celebrate the end of the year, but it's beyond their bedtime? Come join us for our NOON Year's Eve party where we'll celebrate the end of the year at 12 p.m., and we will do it a day ahead of time, so the kids have the jump on their parents. We'll start our countdown at 11 a.m., play games, do crafts, and celebrate in style at the stroke of noon.
