The Reel Connection Reading and Discussion Group Discover these books that Hollywood has adapted to the big screen. The group meets the first Thursday of each month September through May. This month's title is "The Revenant" by Michael Punke. Copies of the book are limited and may be picked up at the Reference Desk.

Adults: Christmas Table Runner Come join us as we make our very own Christmas table runner. This fun event will teach you all you need to know in order to make one of your very own. Registration for this event opens on November 21.

Reindeer I-Spy Ready to get into the holiday spirit? Come to the children's floor and join us for a reindeer I-Spy! See if you can find all of Santa's reindeer! Pick up a game sheet at the desk on the children's floor and mark off the reindeer as you find them. When you're finished, return the game sheet to the desk for a prize. Each child can win one prize per day.

Holiday Tree Throughout the month of December you will have an opportunity to give back to your community. This year, the Main Library Children's Services Department will be accepting donations for the Kanawha Charleston Humane Association. Bring in donations any time during the month and add them to our Holiday Tree. Ask a staff member for a list of suggested donation items. Thank you for your caring!

Holiday Crafts To Go Today's craft may become tomorrow's cherished holiday memory. Step inside the children's area, make the craft of the day, and take it home to use in your decorating. A different craft will be offered each Thursday in December.

"Giving Tree" sponsors needed The Cross Lanes Library will be hosting the Tyler Mountain / Cross Lanes Community Services "Giving Tree." Tags will be provided for you to select a child that is wanting a few presents for Christmas. Please come in to the library and pull a tag off of our special "Giving Tree." The deadline to sponsor a child is December 14.

Drop-Off for TM/CLCS Food Drive The Cross Lanes Library will be a drop-off point for Tyler Mountain / Cross Lanes Community Services December food drive. The most needed items are: peanut butter and jelly, soup, pork and beans, dry pasta and pasta sauce, canned beans, vegetables and fruits, saltine crackers, canned meats, cold cereal, boxed side dishes, rice, canned pasta (ravioli, etc.), toilet paper and tissues.
