Holiday Decoration Exchange Do you have some holiday decorations that you no longer use? Need something new to add to your holiday displays? If you have too many decorations, bring some in. If you need some decorations, please help yourself.

Holiday Open House Bring in the holiday season with a celebration at the library. Decorate the library’s Christmas tree, play games, make crafts and have your picture drawn by Caricature artist Gordon Parker. Musical entertainment will be provided by the West Virginia Youth Symphony, featuring a string quartet and an ensemble of local youth. Refreshments and door prizes provided by the Clendenin Library Advisory Board. All ages welcome!

An Ornament a Day An ornament a day keeps the Grinch away! Keep the holidays bright with a handmade ornament. Each day the Clendenin Branch is open until Christmas, make an ornament to take home or add to the library's Christmas Tree. All ages.

Holiday Open House Get in the holiday mood this Saturday at the Main Library’s Annual Holiday Open House. Activities for all ages are planned, beginning with some seasonal music performed by Dr. Mark Hornbaker and his Academy Kids. They will perform on the library plaza beginning at 9:40 a.m. while we wait for the Christmas Parade to pass by on Capitol Street. There will be cookies and punch on the first floor of the library following the parade. Santa and Mrs. Claus are making a special stop at our library in the Children’s Department from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. Bring the whole family to meet them! Be sure to bring your camera and holiday wishes! You won't want to miss Buddy the Elf and his friends, as cast members of CTOC's Elf the Musical Jr. perform at the library at noon. There will also be refreshments and holiday crafts. All refreshments are provided courtesy of The Friends of The Library Foundation.

Holiday Tree Throughout the month of December you will have an opportunity to give back to your community. Decorate the Children's Services holiday tree with new items for babies (bibs, rattles, socks, etc) and mittens, hats, and scarves for children. All donations will be distributed through local charitable organizations after the holidays. Thank you for your caring!

Winter Wonderland I SPY Search the children's floor for fun winter pictures that celebrate the holidays and snow! Once you have found all the pictures, turn in your game sheet at the desk and choose a prize from our treasure chest!
