Let's Sew Come out and make a potholder! No previous sewing skills required. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to come. Please bring your sewing machine, thread and fabric. There will be some extra fabric supplied, if needed.

Mountain Magic: An Evening with Marc Harshman, Poet Laureate of West Virginia Enjoy informal readings and discussion with award winning poet, Marc Harshman, as he talks about his first seven years as West Virginia’s seventh Poet Laureate. Harshman will read selections from his two most recent poetry collections, the Weatherford Award winning Believe What You Can and the Blue Lynx Prize winning Woman in Red Anorak. Harshman will also share his unique overview of contemporary West Virginia arts and letters. Mountain Magic is a celebration of the rich literary and storytelling heritage of West Virginia. Come sit with us for a spell as we share the songs and folklore of Appalachia, from true stories of life in the mountains to chilling tales of haunted hollows.
