Grant Writing Basics Workshop with Alice Ruhnke Join Alice Ruhnke of The Grant Advantage for a 4-hour workshop that will cover all the different components of grant writing. Alice is responsible for creating, developing, and managing The Grant Advantage, a progressive and innovative consulting business based in Charleston. The Grant Advantage is devoted to advancing the mission of nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations, and educational institutions through fund development. Alice has raised several million dollars writing federal, state, foundation, and corporate grants and has been in charge of awarding and monitoring federal funds to nonprofit organizations throughout West Virginia. This program is part of our 2018 nonprofit and grant writing program series which runs March-July. Registration is required for this program and opens March 14, 2018.

Drop in to socialize with other families and play with age appropriate toys. We provide the toys and clean up the mess, and you need only to provide the energetic youngster!

Fine Free Week In celebration of National Library Week, all KCPL locations will observe Fine Free Week April 9 - 15. During this time patrons may return overdue items to any KCPL location and no fines will be assessed for the returned items. Please note that the $15 long overdue fee for items more than 45 days past due will not be waived during Fine Free Week. Please check with a staff member for more information.

National Library Week BINGO Visit the Elk Valley Branch Library to pick up your copy of the National Library Week BINGO gamesheet. National Library Week is observed April 8 through April 14. To celebrate you can play BINGO while completing some fun reading challenges. You will have until the end of the day on Saturday, April 21 to turn your completed sheet in and earn a prize.
