Holiday Silent Basket Auction Come in and see more than twenty beautiful book baskets that you can bid on silently to win from December 8th-15th at 3:00 pm, when bidding ends. You can always check on your bid by phone (304-776-5999) or in person during the week in case you need to increase your bidding amount! Basket subjects include: "Stephen King;" "Birds and Fish;" "All About Dogs;" "Romance! (Books & DVDs);" "Children's Chapter Books;" "Christmas is Always Wonderful;" "Historic Nonfiction - Military & War;" "Mysterious Reads...;" "The Civil War;" "Awesome Children's Books;" "The Left Behind Collection;" "Fantastic Fiction;" "Home & Heartfelt Inspiration;" "West Virginia;" "Out of this World! (Books & DVDs)." All proceeds go to the Cross Lanes Library Programming Fund.

Hands On With Virtual Reality Join us at the library for an introduction to Virtual Reality and get a chance to try out the library’s new Virtual Reality headsets with a brief demo! Headsets and time for demos will be limited based on the number of attendees. Attendees will need to provide their own cell phone and download the Google Cardboard app (for Android or iPhone) prior to the program. The program will run for one hour. For participants ages 7 and up.

DIY: Holiday Cards and Quilling We are combining the arts of scrapbooking and quilling in this fun DIY class. Quilling, or paper filigree, is an art for that uses strips of paper that are rolled and pinched into different shapes then glued together to make decorative art. Use scrapbook paper punches and quilling techniques taught by local crafter, Sarah Trembula, to make a beautiful holiday card. There is a limit of 20 participants. Registration will open Thursday, November 30. This is open to upper elementary-aged children, teens, and adults.

Holiday I Spy Search the library for holiday pictures! Just grab a game sheet at the front desk and mark them off as you find them all. Return the completed game sheet to the front desk for a prize. Limit one prize, Children 12 and under.

Snowy Glassware Come make an Epsom salt covered glassware piece that would make a great addition to your holiday décor. You must provide glassware (small bowl, vase, mason jar, etc.). Adult (18 and older) Registration required. Registration opens November 30.
