Sissonville Cookbook Club Experiment with different recipes and taste new flavors! The Sissonville Cookbook Club meets every other month on the fourth Thursday, 6:00 p.m. at the Sissonville Branch Library. Here's how to participate: 1. Check out a cookbook that fits the monthly theme. 2. Test out a recipe or two. 3. Pick up and complete a review form. 4. Bring a recipe sample (optional) and your completed review forms to the meeting and share with others. The 2019 monthly themes are: March - Comfort Food Classics; May - International Flavors; July - Pasta; September - Appetizers & Dips; November - Holiday Sides.

Family Mixed-Media Art Workshop What better way for families to celebrate November as Picture Book Month than by creating their own mixed-media art in celebration of the beloved picture book, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar"? Local artist Debi Ellis (https://www.debiellis.com/) will help your family create your own masterpiece using paint and collage materials. Work together and have fun! Limit of 20 participants with children being ages 5 & up. Registration opens on October 28. Please allow approximately 2 hours per session.
