Jump Into Storytime Storytime designed for children up to 5 years of age. Child and caregiver will enjoy stories, songs, rhymes, and much more. Caregivers are encouraged to participate along with the children! Stay and play at playgroup or older children can make a craft.

Mall Book Group Join us at the Charleston Town Center Panera Bread on the last Wednesday of every month, 11:30 a.m. to discuss a different book. For July's meeting, we will talk about "The Stranger in the Woods" by Michael Finkel. Copies of the book will be available to check out at the Main Library Reference Desk. Book Bop Storytime and Dance Party Get in the groove with our summer dance party series for little ones. To encourage movement, creativity, and an awareness of different genres of music, we will host a dance party and storytime once a month (during June and July) for the under 5 age group. We will share a story and include a craft as well.

Musical Instrument Petting Zoo For this special event, the Kanawha County Public Library will host Jack from Kerr's Music World, Inc. Jack will bring a group of instruments and share some facts about them with the audience. Then, each child will get to try at least one instrument! Registration is appreciated, but not required, and will open on July 1. We ask that all participants be 7 years of age or older to allow everyone to properly enjoy the program.
