Ready, Set, Create! Power from Nature In this engineering challenge for children in grades 2 - 5, participants will learn of emerging technologies related to sustainable energy production. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate with their children. All supplies are provided. Registration opens December 3.

Around the World Literary Journey Reading and Discussion Group This book discussion group features nine works from a global array of established authors whose geographical settings range from Australia to the Greek Islands. Several of these works were adapted to the cinema which further enlivens the discussions. This month’s selection is "Heat and Dust" by Ruth Prawer Jhabvala. The group meets the first Thursday of each month September 2018 through May 2019. Discussion leader is Tim Basford.

Jump into Storytime Storytime designed for children up to 5 years of age. Child and caregiver will enjoy stories, songs, rhymes, and much more. Caregivers are encouraged to participate along with the children! After storytime, kids are invited to stay, play, and socialize with others at the Library.

Family Dinner Book Club Do you want your family dinner time to be more satisfying? Join the club! The Clendenin Branch Library will be hosting the Family Dinner Book Club, a creation of Growing Book by Book, a Guide to Nurturing Young Readers. Growing Book by Book says “This fun family project is meant to bring your family closer together over good books, good food, and great conversation.” The club will meet monthly at which time you will be able to pick up the next month’s book and activity packet.
