Thursday Book Group This discussion group will enjoy nine books from different genres (novels, short stories, memoir, biography) featuring literary giants such as Hemingway as well as from new best-selling authors such as Celeste Ng and Alex Michaelides. The group meets the first Thursday of each month September 2019 through May 2020 at the Main Library. Join us for a lively discussion. Tim Basford is the discussion leader. November's book is Grand Hotel by Vicki Baum. Copies are available at the Reference Desk.

Playgroup @ the Library All the fun of a traditional playgroup, but none of the fuss! A great opportunity for children to play and interact under caregivers' supervision. Drop in to socialize with other families and play with age appropriate toys. We provide the toys and clean up the mess, and you need only to provide the energetic youngster!

Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought about writing a novel" (From Join us at our NaNo group meetings to learn ways to improve your novel-writing skills, and to enjoy a quiet space to write your novel! This is an independent event managed by a community partner. The NaNoWriMo name and logo are used by special permission.
