Thursday Book Group **Different day this meeting only** This discussion group will enjoy nine books from different genres (novels, short stories, memoir, biography) featuring literary giants such as Hemingway as well as from new best-selling authors such as Celeste Ng and Alex Michaelides. The group meets the first Thursday of each month through May 2020 at the Main Library. Join us for a lively discussion. Tim Basford is the discussion leader. January's book is "In Our Time" by Ernest Hemingway. Copies are available at the Reference Desk.

St. Albans Writes: Dan Light A professor at Liberty University, Dr. Dan Light will discuss his books, "Ten Fresh Takes" and "West By God Virginia," the latter a home-style patchwork of tales and recollections that celebrates the people and culture of West Virginia and Appalachia. Lebanon: The Country of My Heart's Desire View Lebanon as seen through the eyes of a native son and a granddaughter of immigrants.  In October, Joe Awad led a 12-day church-sponsored trip to Lebanon. He will discuss growing up in Lebanon and his journey to America as a teenager. Through photographs and stories, Terry O'Fiesh will describe her first impressions of the country of her ancestors.
