Mall Book Group Join us at the Charleston Town Center Panera Bread on the last Wednesday of every month, 11:30 AM to discuss a different book. For January's meeting, we will talk about "The Good Father" by Noah Hawley. Copies of the book will be available to check out at the Main Library Reference Desk. Coast to Coast: Contemporary American Writers Reading and Discussion Group This book discussion series focuses on some new voices in contemporary American literature. This month's selection is "The Orchardist" by Amanda Coplin. The group meets the first Thursday of each month September 2017 through May 2018. Discussion leader is Tim Basford. Copies of the books are limited and may be picked up at the Reference Desk.

Winter Library Club Join our 2018 Winter Library Club for chances to win prizes. Fill out an entry slip each time you check out or renew an item during your visit to your local branch library from Tuesday, January 2 to Friday, March 2 and you’ll be entered in a weekly drawing to win a gift card. You will also have the opportunity to get one extra entry just for registering. There are prizes for children, teens and adults. The weekly prizes will be a $5.00 gift card to either the Dollar Tree, Subway or Dollar General. All gift cards must be picked up by Saturday, March 17. The prizes are sponsored by The Friends of The Library Foundation.

Sunday Jams: Three Ps in a Pod: 2/3 Brass Trio Our long running family music series is back by popular demand! People of all ages are invited to hear live music performed in a relaxed setting. This 2/3 brass trio presents a fusion of classic and contemporary sounds with adaptations of music from renaissance to modern. Featuring West Virginia Symphony Orchestra members Marsha Palmer on horn and Hannah Pressley on cello, as well as trumpet player Annie Perrett. Funding for Sunday Jams provided by KCPL Annual Book Sale.
