Do you have a passion for helping people in need and a dream of forming a charitable organization? Unsure of what to do to get started? Join us as a representative from the Secretary of State's Office tells you all you need to know about the process of obtaining nonprofit status. Learn about nonprofit organizations, charitable organizations, how to file with the Secretary of State's Office, what to do after you file, and how to apply to the IRS. Nonprofit status will make your organization eligible for grants, make your organization eligible for contributions and donations that are tax-deductible to the donor, give your organization IRS-recognized legitimacy, and exemption from federal income taxes, in addition to other benefits. Don't miss out! This program is part of our 2017 nonprofit and grant writing program series which runs February-June. Registration is required for this program and opens January 1, 2017.

Sunday Jams: Qiet Our long running family music series is back by popular demand! People of all ages are invited to hear live music performed in a relaxed setting. Today's group, Qiet, is the musical culmination of this wild and wondrous world, infused with every culture on the planet and refined in the mountains of West Virginia.
