The Foreign Policy Association's Great Decisions Discussion 2017 Join us the third Monday of each month through December for the Foreign Policy Association’s Great Decisions Discussion. This national program is designed to engage citizens in learning about the world, and it emphasizes discussion and active participation from those attending. Each participant gets briefing books that feature impartial, thought-provoking analyses on eight issues of concern to U.S. policymakers today and will then be asked to report, either individually or as part of a group, on a specific topic. An organizational meeting will be held this month. Everyone welcome.

PALS Book Club This book club was formed especially for seniors by Highmark PALS (People Able to Lend Support) in order to bring older adults together for a literary challenge and social interaction. The groups meet once a month except in December. If you are eligible for Medicare, are interested in making new friends and enjoy discussing new books, contact your local library for more information. Copies of the books are limited. This month's title is "Dimestore" by Lee Smith.

Sunday Jams: West Virginia Youth Symphony Chamber Ensembles Our long running family music series is back by popular demand! People of all ages are invited to hear live music performed in a relaxed setting. Playing in a chamber ensemble is a free, optional, fun, and educational program for young music students in the West Virginia Youth Symphony. It is an honor reserved for the most accomplished players. Children in various chamber ensembles perform live classical chamber music today. Funding for Sunday Jams provided by KCPL Annual Book Sale.
