Drop in to socialize with other families and play with toys reserved just for this age group. We provide the toys and clean up the mess, and you need only to provide the energetic youngster!

Foundation Directory Online Grant Searching and Reference USA Interested in learning more about finding grants for your nonprofit organization? Foundation Directory Online Professional is a great tool to help you in your search. Available at the Main Library on Capitol St. in Charleston, this database contains information on more than 140,000 grantmakers and 6 million grants. Join Nancy Allen, Foundation Center Funding Information Network Supervisor, to learn how to find funding for your organization using this helpful resource. Next, KCPL Reference Department Head Elizabeth Fraser will demonstrate how to use Reference USA. This database, available in the library and at home with your library card and PIN, can be a great help in finding data to strengthen grant proposals. This program is part of our 2018 nonprofit and grant writing program series which runs March-July. Registration is required for this program and opens February 14, 2018.

Family Fun Night: Paints and Parfaits! Who doesn’t love fun times with family? Each Family Fun session will offer a fun way to relax with family – crafts, game nights, movies, and more. This month we will be joined by local artist, Terry Lively, who will lead us in a painting class. She will lead us through the process of painting a picture on canvas. About halfway through class we will take a break for parfaits, then we will finish our creations. Make sure to call and register for this program, as there is a limit of 20 participants. Call the library at 304-965-3636 or register via the library’s website. Registration will open March 1, 2018.
