DIY: Optical Illusions Everyone knows optical illusions are fun to look at and try to figure out, but just imagine how much fun you’ll have creating your own! You will have time to practice the technique, and then you will make your own on posterboard. All materials are provided, just come to have a good time.

Family Fun Night: Read More Mo! Who doesn’t love fun times with family? Each Family Fun session will offer a fun way to relax with family – crafts, game nights, movies, and more. This month we will enter the hilarious world of Mo Willems. Some of his characters, such as the Pigeon, Knuffle Bunny, Piggie and Gerald, and the Dinosaur family will come to life through stories, games, and crafts. This will be a fun evening you won’t want to miss.

A Tisket, A Tasket, A Literary Basket Auction Hosted by The Friends of The Library Foundation, this annual fundraising event is a silent auction of donated baskets. Nearly 100 baskets for all ages will be available to bid on during the event which will be held at Temple Israel, 2312 Kanawha Boulevard, East in Charleston. All proceeds benefit Kanawha County Public Library. Refreshments by The Bridge Road Bistro. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Sunday Jams Encore: Blue Yonder Blue Yonder is best known for their memorable original songs, virtuoso musicianship and feel-good stage presence. Featuring award-winning songwriter and vocalist John Lilly, two-time national guitar champion Robert Shafer and bassist Will Carter, Blue Yonder plays what they call “acoustic honky-tonk” music – a mix of classic country, bluegrass, swing and rockabilly which, according to Mountain Stage host Larry Groce, “...plays as well in a hipster coffeehouse as it does in a small town concert hall.” Funding for today's concert is provided courtesy of The Friends of The Library.
