The Foreign Policy Association's Great Decisions Discussion 2018 Join us the third Monday of each month through November for the Foreign Policy Association’s Great Decisions Discussion. This national program is designed to engage citizens in learning about the world, and it emphasizes discussion and active participation from those attending. Each participant gets briefing books that feature impartial, thought-provoking analyses on eight issues of concern to U.S. policymakers today and will then be asked to report, either individually or as part of a group, on a specific topic. This month's topic is China and America: The New Geopolitical Equation. Everyone welcome.

Cross Lanes Library Summer Pool Parties The Cross Lanes Recreational Pool Association will be sponsoring three different pool parties for the Cross Lanes Library over the summer. These fundraisers will be at the CLRA Pool at 5447 Big Tyler Road. Please mark your summer calendars for these events! Thanks to the CLRA Pool for the use of their facilities and personnel for this fundraiser. Part of the proceeds will be going to the Cross Lanes Library Advisory Board to meet our library's community assessment. COST: $5.00 Tuesday May 22 from 3:30-6:30 p.m., Tuesday July 24 from 3:30-6:30 p.m., and Tuesday August 14 from 3:30-6:30 p.m.

The Amazing Library Race Help us celebrate Scavenger Hunt Day at the library by testing your library skills! Drop in anytime throughout the day on May 24 to participate. Teams can work together to complete the challenges of the scavenger hunt. Teams will also be timed. How does your team compare to others?
