Give Back Tree The library is collecting donated items for Elk River Backpack Blessings. Their mission is to provide food and other small items to students whose main source of food is their school. They provide a bag of nutritious, kid-friendly food once a week. They also send snack bags to the Kanawha County Libraries every week, all year round, to assist children in need. Family Mixed-Media Art Workshop What better way for families to celebrate together than by creating their own mixed-media art in celebration of the beloved picture book, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar"? Local artist Debi Ellis (https://www.debiellis.com/) will help your family create your own masterpiece using paint and collage materials. Work together and have fun! Holiday Open House Get in the holiday mood at the Main Library’s Annual Holiday Open House & stay for the Christmas Parade! Activities for all ages are planned. The Kanawha Kordsmen will be performing at 5:45pm. Enjoy cookies & punch on the first floor of the library before the parade. Activities include a visit with the Snow Queen and the Ice Princess, a display of I Love Peace entries, holiday crafts, and photos courtesy of Picture This WV.
