KCPL Family Read Aloud Club
KCPL's Family Read Aloud Club is a program inviting parents to read aloud to their children during the school year. The aim of the program is two-fold: for families to spend quality time together and to promote lifelong literacy. Registering for the program is as simple as A, B, C! - just visit your local library to enroll in the program. For more information.
Sit! Stay! Read with the Dogs!
We've gone to the dogs... but not just any dogs! These therapy dogs love to help young patrons improve their reading skills by listening as children read to them. All participating dogs are registered as members of a therapy dog team with their owner/trainer. Patrons are required to sign up for a four-week reservation to read to the dogs.
Grades 2-6 • Registration required.
- Individual Reading Sessions from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. December 3
