January programs for children scheduled at libraries

Playgroups, art and building blocks are the highlights of children's programming at several branches of the Kanawha County Public Library system in January. Call the host library to register.

Playgroup at the Library

Under their parent’s supervision, babies and toddlers can play during this informal gathering. If you’d like, bring some toys to share. This is a great opportunity for parents and kids to meet each other.

Sunflowers and Stars: Meet Vincent Van Gogh

Did you know that Vincent Van Gogh made a painting of his bedroom? That he loved to paint sunflowers? A variety of fun family activities will introduce children to Van Gogh's works. Each participant will also create an original work of art in the style of Van Gogh.

Join us for fun as we use LEGO® and DUPLO® elements to build city neighborhoods, places to work, and vehicles. These programs are presented by Linda Hamilton of the Nick J. Rahall Transportation Institute of Marshall University.
