Libraries host Holiday Open Houses

Kanawha County Public Library system will be celebrating the holiday season with open houses for the whole family. Below is a schedule for all participating branches.

Main Library

Saturday, December 6, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Welcome the holidays with fun activities for the entire family. Refreshments on the third floor courtesy of the Friends of The Library Foundation of Kanawha County.

• All day – Drop in children’s crafts tables
• Noon to 1 p.m. – A Visit with the Jolly Old Elf
  Santa Claus arrives to share stories and songs with patrons in a special interactive holiday program. Parents and caregivers are welcome to take pictures of children with Santa after the program. KCPL staff will take pictures and provide prints also.
• 2 p.m. – Visions of Sugar Plums
  What is the holiday season without the story of the classic tale, “The Nutcracker?” Join Jill Oliver-Thornton of the Charleston Ballet Board of Directors as she reads the Nutcracker story and shares information about the ballet. This program allows parents and caregivers to introduce children to the story of the Nutcracker Ballet.

Clendenin Branch Library
